Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

The short version: Brightkin doesn't collect any information about you or your child. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.

Who we are

Brightkin is made by Pixel & Pocket, an independent developer. You can reach us at hello@pixelandpocket.com.

What the app collects

Nothing. Brightkin doesn't ask for a name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information, and it doesn't use the camera or microphone. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools, doesn't connect to our own servers, and has no chat or social features. The only link out of the app is to this page.

What stays on your device

Your game progress (coins, Threads, gear, Keeper level and paths, cleared stages, pals found and wardrobe) and your settings (such as volume and vibration) are saved on your device only. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them. Your iPhone may include them in its own backups, such as iCloud Backup, which Apple manages.

In-app purchases

Optional purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. When you buy something, Apple tells the app which item was bought and gives it a transaction number, so the app can unlock the item. The app keeps that number on your device to make sure a purchase is never given twice. Apple's privacy policy covers how Apple handles purchases.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These don't identify you, and you can turn sharing off at any time in the same place.

Children

Brightkin is made to be enjoyed by players of all ages, including children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. Parents can manage purchases with Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the app ever starts collecting any information, we'll say so here before it does.
